Education is a powerful climate lever, yet it remains largely excluded from climate finance. Without clear data and evidence to demonstrate its impact on emissions reduction and resilience, the education sector struggles to access the investments needed to scale its contribution to the climate response.
Our Response
We are building the tools and partnerships to measure education's climate impact.
Through the MCIE Alliance, we are developing new frameworks, tools, and models to quantify education's contributions to greenhouse gas emissions reduction, climate adaptation, and climate resilience. By building a global coalition, we are advancing a shared measurement agenda for the education sector while creating the data and systems needed to position education as a core climate solution.
