The Climate-Integrated Design Process (CIDP)

A research-backed methodology that helps educators and organizations integrate climate and environmental justice into their education programs.

- our proven solutions

The Challenge

Most educators want to teach climate change but face a packed curriculum, limited training, or tools that ignore the design elements that make climate change education transdisciplinary and truly transformative. The result: climate change gets treated as a separate (often, science) subject rather than woven into how and what all educators teach every day.

Our Response

The CIDP is an iterative, justice-centered methodology that helps educators weave climate and environmental justice into the whats and ways they teach, connecting to existing standards, curricula, and contexts across any learning ecosystem while pushing for deeper engagement in systems change and collective climate action. The CIDP can be applied to a single lesson or an entire academic year.
